A refined, elegant bas-relief depicting Nike, the Greek and Roman goddess of victory, both on the battlefield and in the sporting arena. She is shown amidst blooming flowers and intertwining racemes, reminiscent of the acanthus scrolls on the lower frieze of the majestic Ara Pacis in Rome. In fact, the bas-relief that inspired this portrayal of Victory was created in Rome in the 1st century AD and is now preserved in the British Museum in London.
Fired twice at about 1000 C, this sculpture can be placed outdoor as well indoor.
