Refined, handmade sculpture in terracotta, modeled and painted with great attention to detail and following ancient techniques.
This bas–relief is inspired by an earthenware plate, once coloured, used as decoration for the public or religious buildings in antiquity. The original model is at Museo Archeologico Civico di Bologna and was modeled between the end of the first and the beginning of the second century A.D.
Given its firing at about 1000° C, this sculpture is perfect for decorating outdoors: their time-lasting quality is assured despite sun, wind, cold, ice.
