This handmade, stunning bas-relief in terracotta is painted with engobes and modeled following ancient techniques. This sculpture is inspired by an ancient terracotta found in Gabii, Rome: The original sculpture, an Akoterion, dates back to ca 540- 530 b.C. Rome, Museo Nazionale Romano alle Terme di Diocleziano.
Given its firing at about 1000° C, the sculpture can be placed outside and won't be damaged by sun, cold or ice.
