Eindrucksvolle handgefertigte Skulptur aus Terrakotta, reich bemalt mit Engobe nach antiken Techniken.
Das Hochrelief wurde inspiriert von einem Antefix, das in Veii, einer etruskischen Stadt in der Nähe des Tibers, ausgegraben wurde.
Heute wird das Originalstück, das auf 525-500 v. Chr. datiert wird, im Museo di Villa Giulia in Rom aufbewahrt.
Da die Skulptur bei hohen Temperaturen (1000 °C) gebrannt wurde, kann sie im Freien aufgestellt werden und wird weder durch Sonne, Kälte noch Frost beschädigt.
