Fabelhafte, handgefertigte Skulptur aus Terrakotta, mit viel Liebe zum Detail modelliert und mit Engoben bemalt. Das Basrelief ist von einem hellenistischen bronzenen Statue, dem Medici-Riccardi Pferdekopf, inspiriert, und befindet sich jetzt im Archäologisches Nationalmuseum von Florenz.
Dank ihrer Brenntemperatur bei ca. 1000° C kann die Skulptur Pferdekopf von Ithaca im Freien aufgestellt werden: sie wird weder durch Sonne, Kälte noch Frost beschädigt.
