Refined handmade sculpture in ceramic, modeled with extreme attention to detail, and painted with glazes. This Crucifix is taken from Donatello’s masterpiece in the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua. Here Jesus embodies the words
of Psalm 22, v. 16- 17: “They have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones”. Nonetheless, His hands are open towards us, as if He wanted to embrace humankind in the last moments of His Passion.
Given its firing at about 1000° C, the sculpture can be placed outside and won't be damaged by sun, cold, rain, or ice.
