They were often drunk, and, through wine, they could achieve special divine gifts, such as prophetic ecstasy, musical talents and the ability of dancing. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eMarsyas was indeed the best in playing the double oboe, an instrument previously used and abandoned by Athena.
